Located at Lebuh Bandar Utama (see the location map), it is just a stone’s throw away if you are living in Bandar Utama, or even in Ara Damansara (about 10 mins drive).

Coconut Benefits

Ahh…the refreshing fruit served to you in a shell. Now who doesn’t love having something that not only tastes great but has added benefits too?

This humble yet versatile fruit has been known to lower cholesterol, improve digestion, fight of viruses and increase metabolism. The list of coconut uses are wide and extensive but we have here some information on what each part of the coconut can do for you:

Coconut Water- 

The coconut is a natural water filter. It takes almost 9 months for a coconut to filter every quart of water stored within its shell. This makes the resulting coconut water completely pure and sterile, which is one reason why it can be used for blood transfusions.

Another benefit of coconut water is the fact that it has the highest concentration of electrolytes than anything else found in nature. This makes it an excellent source of hydration.

Coconut Flesh-

Yes, it’s undeniably true- coconut flesh contains a large amount of saturated fat. However, unlike other saturated fats, which are long chain fatty acids, most of the fat in coconut is a medium chain fatty acid. Medium chain fatty acids are broken down much faster than long chain fatty acids, so they do not contribute to high cholesterol, as long chain fatty acids do. In fact, the fat may possibly help lower bad cholesterol levels and increase good ones.

Coconut flesh is also high in fiber, which helps the digestion process by adding bulk to the stool, which helps to move food through the digestive tract. And weight cautious people will be glad to know that fiber also helps you feel full, which would benefit those trying to lose weight.

Other minerals such as manganese- which supports both the immune and nervous systems and promotes stable blood sugar levels, and potassium and copper- which help with muscle growth and red blood cell production, can also be found in the coconut flesh.
